I know families with 3, 4 and 5 children -  – all homeschooled.  The thought of  just HAVING that many children is enough to make me contemplate twin beds in the master bedroom.  But to homeschool all of them?!?!  Someone call the nice men in the white coats for me please; I feel the need for a padded room.

If I don’t kvetch, I will explode!  There isn’t woman or probably, man out there who hasn’t had a bad haircut.  Have you ever thought you’d found just the right stylist or barber that you believed understood what you wanted, gave it to you and won your devotion?  Have you also, like me, gone back to that stylist, barber or whatever, only to leave with your hair looking nothing like you intended?

Well of COURSE I knew that already.  I just didn’t expect my 7 year old daughter to know it – at least not so soon. I thought I had another few years of deception before she figured it all out and started hiding me from her friends.

Collin, is a four-year-old male version of Baby Rose and his Nana finds him well.. perfect, of course.  Yesterday, while we were having dinner, he looked through the glass top of the table at his feet and declared, “When I was a baby my toes were pink.  Now I’m a grown-up because my feet are orange!”

But this IS a picture from a field trip we took with our homeschool group.   It was a charming one room school house – all original complete with NO PLUMBING and an outhouse (you don’t want to know about that) and offers 1/2 day sessions featuring life at school in the 1800′s.
