After dropping my girls off in their Sunday school classes last week, I looked up to see friends of mine walking through the doors to the preschool wing with their little girl. Their 2-year-old daughter saw me, let go of her mother’s hand, and came running full speed ahead towards me with her arms outstretched. I dropped to my knees and accepted one of the sweetest hugs ever.

I was driving Big Sister to school one day when I heard some light sniffling coming from the back seat. That’s not exactly rare, but it was a little odd since it didn’t precede or follow any shouts of “STOP THAT!” or “DON’T TOUCH ME!” I glanced in the rear view mirror to see which daughter was shedding tears and spied Big Sister pouting.

Have you seen that movie? Read the book?

Good stuff.

I’m happily married, and happily out of the whole dating scene, but I found myself thinking about the movie in particular last week. I remember at the beginning there being a scene where a little boy picks on a little girl, and when she tells her mommy about it, the mommy tells the little girl that the boy probably just likes her.

I am a domestic engineer.

I can handle cleaning. Every day I do a little bit here or there, and when both girls are in school you can probably find me with the 90s music channel turned on, Pledging or Dysoning or Windexing to Wilson Phillips or New Kids on the Block. Sometimes Vanilla Ice.
