I am, for lack of a better term, a housewife.  Wait, there is a better term that I heard.  Domestic engineer.  That sounds better.

I am a domestic engineer.

I can handle cleaning.  Every day I do a little bit here or there, and when both girls are in school you can probably find me with the 90s music channel turned on, Pledging or Dysoning or Windexing to Wilson Phillips or New Kids on the Block.  Sometimes Vanilla Ice.

I am regurgitating a post of mine from December 2008, because it occurred to me that I was writing basically the same exact stuff a second time…

I’ve been feeling kind of crappy the past couple of days.  This morning I didn’t wake up until a friend happened to call me approximately thirty minutes before I had to be out the door.

The Setting: Big Sister, 6-years-old, and I are getting ourselves ready to go out with family for my birthday.

The Dialogue:
HER: Mommy, how old are you?
ME: How old was I yesterday?
HER: Thirty-three.
ME: So how old am I today?
HER: Thirty-four. <thinking> Mommy! You’re almost FORTY!
ME: Go to your room.
