Blogging…How does one figure out what to blog about??? I could blog about several things, for I have worn many “hats” in my thirty-eight years of life!!! But, let’s just stick to the last ten years…shall we? Let’s see…I have been a divorcee, a waitress/hostess, a Latter-Day Saint (Mormon), a newlywed, a college student, a military wife, and a military mom, pretty much in that order, except that I was a Mormon, a newlywed, a college student and a military wife all wrapped up into one! Well, actually, you could put “Mormon” in front of all that’s listed, because I converted to that church ten-and-a-half years ago. So, with that last statement, I guess I have figured out what I’m going to write about…being a Mormon “everything”.
Becoming a “Mormon,” or rather a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints was the best thing that could have ever happened to me – I was on a path that was going pretty much…nowhere. This religion is not very easy to swallow, for most, but at the time I guess I was searching for something, which made me more “open” to its’ teachings. I met with the missionaries and what they taught me seemed to just, well make sense. Now this isn’t going to be a lesson on my religion, so don’t worry, but I just feel I should provide a little foundation for this blog to show you from where my “Mormon-Everything-roots” stem.
Being a Latter Day Saint, or Mormon, has become the meaning for my total existence. Without it, I would be no one. By joining this church, I have found out that I (along with all you ladies out there) am a very special person…I (and you) am a “Child of God”, a “Heavenly Daughter”, and a Heavenly Sister to a wonderful brother (as well as you) who loves me (us) so much that He gave His life for me (us), He endured so much pain and suffering, every trial that I (we) face, so that I (we) can be here on earth today striving to do what needs to be done to be able to return to Heavenly Father when this life is all said and done. And, it is knowing all this that helps me to strive to be the best Mormon “everything” that I can be. ( I have added “you”, “us”, and “we” so you won’t think that I’m self-centered and think He only did it for me, because He did it for ALL of us!)
Yes, this blog is very short and sweet, but it’s only an introduction to what’s to come…so stay tuned, and have a very blessed day and remember God Loves You!

I know Catholics, Baptists…I went to Jewish Camp when I was a kid (I was one of the few Asians there)…and one of my best friends growing up was Mormon. (But, I never even knew it until I was a senior in high school.) I think, as we get older, religion becomes a part of who we are. Whatever our beliefs are, gets wrapped into who we are. And, that makes us…well, us. It will be good to hear a different point of view no matter what your blogs are about. It will be interesting to see how growing up LDS has made you the Mom you are today…
Guess who else will be a Mormon mom one day?? Yepp, you guessed it, Your little sister, ME! Which, might I add, I’m very thankful to be a member of the Church! Thanks for inspiring me sis, you amaze me daily!
Well, I’m just glad I was around to be there for you. I’m starting to wonder if you are another reasong I was sent to Louisiana instead of somewhere else!
