I promised myself I would go through my closet today. I have been dreading it. I don’t enjoy shopping for clothes. It’s a painful process. Be it the price or the fit, most articles of clothing make me cringe, unless they are my trusty jeans. I figured the bowels of my closet might hold something of interest, something to get me through the desire to wear spring clothes even when it is still snowing too frequently.

Did you know that March 8th was International Women’s Day? Yes, even my spell checker doesn’t believe me. It is a day set aside to celebrate the achievement of women past, present and future. Yeah, I didn’t get the memo. I spent it at home, doing laundry and taking care of my children. I’m pretty sure I didn’t have shoes on for most of the day either.

I don’t have much experience in being a woman. Oh sure, I have given birth. I am married, of course. But I have heard that women really go all out for other women. I never really understood that.

My life has radically changed now that I am back in the work force. Sure, I could talk about my time, but I am only there part time. I don’t have Mommy Guilt, because I leave JD with his father in his own home until we switch places and he leaves for work when I come home. I don’t even go to bed any earlier, because I was getting up with the kids anyway.
