We have taken to having our dinner outdoors. It’s nice to eat under the shade tree, and whatever JD drops, the chickens clean up for me, so it’s rather win-win. Plus dinner tends to coincide with what I call the “witching hour”.

Being a mother is hard, and that is an understatement. There is an ever-present anxiety that goes with being responsible for these little things you gave life to, a life which they seem on a constant mission to END.
Everyone has moments in their life they are not exactly proud of, and I am about to share one with you. Sometimes doing what needs to be done in life is not pretty, fun, or politically correct.
HRH is an aspiring movie director, these days. My dad (aka Bapa the Sucker) bought her a Hello Kitty video camera. She’s been shooting movies for weeks, now. Mostly of Moose the Dog… or of herself. Today, she killed a few hours with a couple of her friends. The first part of her day was spent at their house and entailed shooting a few scenes from her latest blockbuster, “My Dog is a Vampire”. I haven’t seen the final cut, but I understand there was lots of screaming.
