There’s a line that every woman crosses at one point or another. And, not in the right way. Is there a right way to cross a line? Only if you’re running a marathon. And, even then, you shouldn’t be scowling and giving people dirty looks. Just sayin’.

Once upon a time, before I had kids, I was a good Mom. I was patient and kind…and I certainly didn’t yell. My blood pressure was stable and I looked good – no dark circles, no gray hair…and certainly no need for $50 anti-wrinkle cream. There is a saying that goes, “Fix the things you can and leave the rest to God.” So, instead of spending my money of lipo or a face lift I’m pulling resources to fix the house.

I am a big fan of routine.  My kids are too, though I guess that is just how they are wired.  Routine means predictability, and so it gives even the youngest ones great comfort to know that this happens when, always does and always will.  I can respect that, as someone who “might” have control issues.

There’s something to be said for a good appetite…on someone else. Let’s face it, when it comes to a woman, it gets personal. And, no matter how ravenous a woman is, if you tell her she eats like a horse, you’re going to get your teeth kicked in.

JD seems to speak significantly less than his brothers did at this age.  Though I will admit my memory is spotty, and it isn’t like I kept a baby book or anything.  I am sure some people kept baby books for all their children, not just their first.  They are probably the ones that lovingly scrapbooked every milestone, with fancy paper and embellishments and clever little comments.
