I have joked in the past about sibling rivalry and jealousy.  Sometimes it is so subtle that you do not even really notice it, like when my husband would hug and kiss me good bye.  Tater would run up and wrap himself around my leg or wiggle between us to get in on the love fest.  Other than that, it never really dawned on him to be jealous, even when a strange kid would end up plopping in my lap at the library to read a story.

I really do not like to leave the house in the evening, particularly when it is just the kids and me.  Even if we managed to have a dinner where everything went rather well, and only a small portion of food landed on the floor, that in no way means venturing out into the world is a good idea.

Every mother, particularly new ones, discover a whole new realm of fear once they have given birth.  I freaked out on the car ride home with my first born son.  Every vehicle on the road was a speeding bullet headed toward my baby.  I was a nervous wreck on the freeway.  They don’t really warn you about that, even in “What to Expect” and they are great at giving expecting mothers things to worry about.

Let me preface this with: I am in no way a professional barber.  I am just cheap.

I cut my family’s hair.  I even trim my own bangs, though I haven’t lately.  The woman who cuts my hair (3-4 times a year, whether it needs it or not) gets a little frownie line between her eyes when she sees I have taken the scissors to my hair.  I figure it is safe to say I am not exceptionally good at it.

JD has been making excellent progress with the potty training.  Since the turkey decided that cloth diapers were NOT for him (due to my brief foray into the work force I am sure), having to buy diapers has proven expensive.  You can buy cheap and use coupons, but the idea of spending 20-30 cents per diaper, well, it chaps my ass.
