Summer vacation has arrived.  Sadly, summer weather has not.  The squabbling had reached that level where I was going to either lose my mind, or put their snow suits on them in May and send them outside to play in the gale force northerly wind.

When I was a kid  I used a refrigerator box to slide down a hill. This was that fabulously-fun hill…

I remember holding on for dear life as friends pushed me over the edge, and sliding off of the box…coming home with stains even Clorox couldn’t remove. I should clarify. Grass stains.

* The Crafty Parent who will set up stations of chaos fun with glue, glitter, markers, paint, egg cartons, and the like and make a wonderful, sparkly Eiffel Tower that lights up when you clap your hands three times

I started making my kids’ birthday cakes after the local bakery botched my child’s first cake.  I had requested a tractor cake and placed the order at least a week beforehand.  They called me the morning of the party to inform me that they did not have the adorable tractor accessories and what should they do?

Today, if you walked into my bathroom, you might have thought I had left a salad in there.  But no, it was a cloth saturated with white vinegar wrapped around my faucets making you crave a green salad with vinegrette dressing.
