horse puckey.
Yep – manure. Poop. Crap. Droppings. Excrement. Call it whatever you want. It’s GOLD to me – and I’m in need.
Horse poop. Or cow poop. Or sheep poop. Or chicken poop. I’ll take it. Heck, I’ve been known to take guinea pig poop from my neighbor. I am the queen of the poop! I NEED poop. Well – fine, if you want to be technical about it all – my garden needs it.
My compost has been sitting – a frozen berg of rotting leaves, grass clippings, veggie peels, egg shells and the like for months. It’s time to wake it up. A good hack and slash, poke and turn, a bucket (or 3) full of manure and we are back in business.

Where were you last week when I was trying to unplug my toilet?
If you lived in my neighborhood, you could go around and have a field day with what’s leftover from people walking their dogs!!
Well – uh……….thanks for the offers ladies but human poop and dog poop are NOT okay for the compost heap!!
