I love to cook. No, really! I do! I suspect it has something to do with the fact that I love to eat. The problem of late is that I am no longer enjoying my cooking. I seem to be in a rut again. Nothing sounds good. Oh, have no fear. I am not wasting away or anything. I just can’t seem to put my finger on what it is that I would enjoy eating.

That was the Electric Company, right? Or maybe we all just remember it from the Goonies if we were too young to have seen it. Ok, I am old enough to have seen it.
I promised myself I would go through my closet today. I have been dreading it. I don’t enjoy shopping for clothes. It’s a painful process. Be it the price or the fit, most articles of clothing make me cringe, unless they are my trusty jeans. I figured the bowels of my closet might hold something of interest, something to get me through the desire to wear spring clothes even when it is still snowing too frequently.

It’s always weird to hit one of “those” birthdays. Today I turned 35. Nothing special about turning 35. It’s not like being able to vote or buy booze. Nevertheless, it feels momentous. Maybe because I have moved up that box, and am no longer in the 18-34 category.

February is a hard month in Michigan. I am not the only one who starts to go a wee bit insane when doubt kicks in that the snow will ever melt, or you will see the sun shine after 1 PM.
