Sometimes we make mistakes as parents.  It happens.  We get tired, frustrated, suffer from poor judgement or sleep loss, or just get plain delusional.  Sometimes circumstances just work against us.

Which is how I ended up taking three kids grocery shopping.  It doesn’t happen that often.  Between school and the mixed blessing of my husband’s odd ball work schedule, I can usually find a way to gather the food without their presence.  But at least once during the summer, I find myself needing to shop when he is gone, and I haul my brood with me.

In real life, I am probably not much like I seem here.  In fact, those who knew me when I was writing for a less open site, they can probably vouch for that.  I am way more censored now.  ANYONE could read this, so I am more reserved.

I really do not like to leave the house in the afternoon/evening.  Nothing sounds better than lounging around sans bra, wearing elastic waist pants and my slippers!  However, we had to go to Chuck E. Cheese’s tonight.

My name is Mommy, and I love Ebay.  I once had a pretty nasty addiction to the site.  I was stalking cloth diapers for my oldest.  Unfortunately, Ebay brings out some very well hidden competitive streak in me, especially regarding the Sneaky Sallies who would swoop in seconds before the auction ended and snatched my prize.

It’s sad when one finds amusement in little jagged-edged colorful clippings. Every week I challenge myself to see how much I can save, and the more I save, the better I feel. Some women shop for shoes, but since my pregnant cankles are here to stay for the next month or so, in my book, a BOGO and a manufacturer’s coupon beats any DSW friends and family sale.

Seriously, why is there a “mental hurrah” behind saving a buck or two? Is there a Freudian theory that can be connected to this new obsession…?
