Last night I snuck out in the middle of the night to dilly-dally in the delights of my new obsession. Madison had tormented me with her nerve-racking whining for the past hour and when Jeff walked in the door I already had my coat and keys in hand, “Dinner is on the stove. I need to go to the grocery store before they close.” I wanted to yell FREEEEEEDOM, as our storm door creaked closed, but our quiet neighborhood piped my yell to a breathless whisper.

This week the sales were measly…at best. Sadly, we are out of a lot of things. Poor planning, on my part, has left us sans our usual hearty stash of Juicy Juice and Madison has had to resort to soy milk and water to accompany her meals; honestly, that’s not a bad thing in my book. Last week, of course, Juicy Juice was BOGO at Publix, but I was too caught up in searching for my Dove’s Men’s Body Wash that I forgot the essentials. We’ll be munching on bread crumbs, and begging on the corner with a tin can, but hubby is going to be squeaky clean with an extra sporty scent.

I am morping into a Coupon Queen. I am beginning to obsess about the deals and the free stuff that I can get; I’m pretty sure it’s becoming an addiction. I woke up today and the first thing I thought? I really should check the computer because today and tomorrow are the last days that I can get the deals for this week.

I learned a very valuable lesson today. Although it’s only day three of my local Rite Aid deals, you can’t wait until day three. I went (dragging Madison through aisles and aisles of red and pink hearts galore). I searched….and I left. That’s right. The Men’s Dove body wash that I had a coupon for AND that was going to be free after the store coupon, was gone. Crap. Newbie whomped…
