There’s a line that every woman crosses at one point or another. And, not in the right way. Is there a right way to cross a line? Only if you’re running a marathon. And, even then, you shouldn’t be scowling and giving people dirty looks. Just sayin’.

I spent some major hours wrapping presents this week. Presents that had to be bought. Presents that came in the mail from family. Lots and lots of presents!
I received presents this week. Really nice and thoughtful presents, which usually only come from my mother or sister. They know me well enough to know what I really like or need. For example, my wardrobe. My mom tends to send me clothes that I inevitably get compliments on. Last year, my sister bought me cosmetics, complete with a “this is how you use this” tutorial. I needed it, and was happy to get it. My Grams gets me similarly useful things, but more along the cleaning supply line. I guess you’d have to know us to get that particular joke!
I admit that I tend to be a bit of a control freak. I don’t really think about it all that much. Normally the bulk of Christmas falls upon my shoulders. Before, it only made sense. My husband was busting his butt working two jobs for us, so he just did not have the time to really participate in the minute details.
My favorite illustration of what faith is comes from Raiders of the Lost Ark. You probably expected me to write about a great Biblical character like Abraham, David or Moses. But, it’s Indiana who is my main man when it comes to visualizing faith (not that he lived a more faithful life than those Biblical giants, it’s just my warped view).
I don’t normally look at the inside of candy wrappers before I toss them in the garbage can, but this particular time I decided to; It was one of those yummy chocolate Dove Promises that always have some kind of message on the inside of the wrapper. Most of the time the messages are just fun little phrases, hardly without any meaning. But, this one Dove wrapper that I randomly chose out of a huge box, was very meaningful and filled with truth. The message read, “If in darkness, lift your eyes to the stars.”
