I hate wearing shoes in the summer.  My feet seem to be my whole body’s thermometer.  Most of the year, I have to wear slippers.  If my feet are cold then I feel cold.  If my feet are hot and sweaty, be prepared for me to be grumpy.

I don’t have much experience in being a woman.  Oh sure, I have given birth.  I am married, of course.  But I have heard that women really go all out for other women.  I never really understood that.

Is it May 22nd yet? :-)

Yes, yours truly started back to school today – I am entering my third semester at the Academy of Art University, pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in Photography. I’m staring at a syllabus for Art & Ideology of the 20th Century and can already feel my brain hurting. Photoshop should be easy enough (hope I didn’t just jinx myself) and Thesis Project Seminar, piece of cake – I *only* have to come up with what my thesis will be on. We had a gloriously long six week break that I had big plans for. BIG plans! Now, standing here, I feel like I didn’t do half of what I to accomplish and wondering how in the world it’s February.

I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. In high school I thought I wanted to be a Fashion Designer, but when this small town girl toured Brooklyn to attend Pratt Institute, my future debut on Project Runway was thwarted by 12-foot iron gates and the fear of being mugged for my faux 80′s leather purse.
