My favorite illustration of what faith is comes from Raiders of the Lost Ark. You probably expected me to write about a great Biblical character like Abraham, David or Moses. But, it’s Indiana who is my main man when it comes to visualizing faith (not that he lived a more faithful life than those Biblical giants, it’s just my warped view).

I wish Handy Manny lived next door to me. He’s so nice, and helpful. All of his tools are nice, and helpful. In fact, his tools not only know what to do without Manny but they talk so nicely to one another.

There are hurdles every parent must face when making decisions—whether on their own or with another parent involved–it’s never easy. But sometimes I think it is easier as a single parent because there’s no resistance—my word is the final decision. I can argue with myself, but the beauty is I always win the argument (LOL).

I was going to give a short breakdown of my single mom life, but there’s nothing short about it. So, I decided that you’ll get to know me, and all the loca aspects of this life, as I move through this blog. I will say that I’m much happier, and my daughters and I are doing much better since my divorce–almost six years ago. And I remind myself of this every time I start to feel lonely. But there’s not a lot of time for that with all my jobs. I joke that I collect part-time jobs as if it’s my glass menagerie.
