I love to get my fry on.  Sure, I try to feed my family healthy foods.  We have a garden that provides us with many of our vegetables; plus strawberries, grapes and apples grow in the yard.  We don’t eat out all that often, but enough that my youngest knows to say “mmm” when he sees the Golden Arches or any given fast food joint.  I watch Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and rejoice that our children’s private school serves primarily “homemade” foods.

If there is one thing that goes hand in hand with raising three sons, aside from the dire need for soap and water, is balls.  My oldest son, Tater, showed the most basic of gender differences the first time he went to the hardware store with me.  He was in awe!  His little face just beamed, as if to say, I have found what I love!

There is nothing like that first truly warm day of the year to make you feel like a kid again!  I had seen today’s weather forecast, high of 77 but 90 percent chance of precipitation.  No matter, I had already visions of open windows (or at least cracked open) in my head.

Yes, sometimes I feel like Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.  I have a protocol, and failure to abide by the protocol will have its consequences.

It has been a hard transition from SAHM to working only part time mom.  Now that I spend my morning hours at work, I find it harder to do certain things.  Grocery shopping?  Ha!  I used to do it on mornings while the kids were in school, but before Hubby went to work.  I don’t have that now.  And really, it just never seems like a good time to do my big grocery shopping.  Do I drag three kids after school?  Do I drag him out of bed on the weekends so I can go (which means he will be wearing his crabby pants)?

I admit that I tend to be a bit of a control freak.  I don’t really think about it all that much.  Normally the bulk of Christmas falls upon my shoulders.  Before, it only made sense.  My husband was busting his butt working two jobs for us, so he just did not have the time to really participate in the minute details.
