My Grams will frequently lament on those days she has to run errands how she hates to go home to a house that doesn’t smell nice. By this she means, no good food smells. I have to agree. In the dark days of winter, a house does seem warmer when the aroma of a meal on the stove is tantalizing you. It isn’t that often that her home doesn’t yank at your appetite. I’ll be honest here. I normally don’t get excited about pictures of food. Unless you show me a piece of cheesecake covered with strawberries, then I’m all yours. Anyway, I don’t drool over pictures of food, I just don’t. However. I took a picture of our family’s meal from Monday night.
The Husband and I were married in 2002. From that time until about 5 months ago, we rented. First a condo, then a house, then an apartment. We knew our time would come, and we waited patiently. I mean, would we have rather had a HOUSE with two girls and a dog? Absolutely. But we were fine with renting until we knew we could get the right place at the right price. And until that time came, what we lived in worked very well for us.
