I am a 30-something Facebook junkie. Next year I'll be a 40-year-old Facebook junkie. Better than a 40-year-old virgin. You'd think...but that might be an entire other blog post in itself. Just sayin'. The fact is, Mark Zuckerberg was on to something when he one-upped Myspace Tom -you know Myspace Tom, he's everybody's friend friend hoarder...

A couple of years ago, like many others, I flew from the "kooky coop" for a bit of friendly banter with "real" people. Don't throw rotten tomatoes if I once called you my Myspace friend and now you are my IRL friend. Just ask yourself, "How long did that take? Was it really worth it?" Oh, and then don't delete me.

I hate to say it, but I have spent most of this Father’s Day not thinking about what day it is. Between my husband’s crazy work schedule and our other responsibilities (volunteering, t-ball) I knew we would not celebrate until his weekend, starting tomorrow.

I was in a dangerous mood today. The mood that screams I AM SURROUNDED BY STUFF – TOO MUCH STUFF and some of it just has to go. My husband is afraid of that mood. If he sees it coming on he makes himself scarce lest I start in about HIS “too much stuff” and demand the lot be culled or at least organized. Not that he ever complies.

….must come down.

You probably learned that when you were only 2 years old.

It’s a lie. A flat out bold faced lie. And I have proof.

My electric bill has gone up consistently – for about 5 years now. Hasn’t come down yet.

Now that I am a mother of three, you would think there isn’t much I have not experienced in terms of my body. I will admit I have been relatively lucky on that front. Wait, let me knock on wood first. I never had hemorrhoids. I figure that is a good thing. I only have three stretch marks on my stomach, also a good thing. The stretch mark thing isn’t really anything to jump for joy about, since my stomach looks like canned biscuit dough when you first peel back that corner and it busts out of the tube. Bikinis are not in my future. Nursing two kids left me a lifetime member of the bullet club, so I hate to see what the third round is going to do.

What do you tell your seven-year-old daughter when she comes up to you crying because there is silly putty stuck to her bear that she’s had since she was born? Yes, you heard me right…since she was born. I want to laugh sometimes, because I think it’s ridliculous for her to be crying over something so trivial. Too mean? Well, I don’t. Besides, it’s not Christ-like. I try to understand why she feels she needs it. But; however, I do find myself asking her why she’s crying over a stupid animal. I know, I shouldn’t use the word “stupid” but it just slips out. (Need to work on that one.) I just feel that her attachment to this bear is unhealthy for her, and that she needs to ”steer” away from the baby side, and start to grow up some and start acting like a young lady, instead of a little girl. I also think it would be better for her self-esteem.

Have you ever been so weighed down with something that it consumes your every waking, sleeping, moment? And, then when you try to shove it into the “trash bin” in the back of your brain not wanting to deal with it, that it won’t stay, but keeps coming back,(like that annoying energizer bunny), until you finally lose the battle and say, “Fine, you win! I’ll deal with you”? Well, that’s me right now! I have a decision to make, an important one, and it has turned into such a dilemma, because there are so many factors to think about…I call it the “having-another-baby-dilemma”!
